In December 2010, at London’s Borough Market, our journey began.

The idea was born in Croatia, where we decided to bring our unique flavors to London’s premier market, a haven for food enthusiasts.

Borough Market, renowned for offering some of the finest food products from the UK and around the globe, has not only recovered from the pandemic but has also expanded in size and popularity, attracting 23 million visitors in 2022.

Our shop attracts not only London food enthusiasts but also international visitors. They all share a common passion for Borough Market and Croatia, which is quickly becoming a top gastronomic destination for tourists.

Taste Croatia began as a modest market stall in December 2010, offering a few jams, oils, and fig products. Ana-Maria and I were thrilled to be at our favorite London Borough Market, though a bit nervous about this new adventure. We had no idea how far it would take us.

In 2013, we opened a shop in the 3 Crown Square area of Borough Market. This new space allowed us to expand our range of delightful delicacies, continuing to bring the best of Croatia’s fine produce to our UK customers.

Our Istrian olive oil range comes from two of the finest estates in the region. Istria has been recognized as the “world’s best region” by Flos Olei, the industry’s leading guide on olive oil, for the past seven consecutive years. Our fig jams from Split pair wonderfully with cheese, and our truffle products from Istria, including white truffle honey, truffle salami, truffle cheese, truffle pâté, and truffle oils, are sourced from Zigante, our trusted supplier since the beginning of our journey.

We also offer a select range of Croatian wines, now receiving Decanter awards. Try our Kulen, a spicy Croatian chorizo from the inland farming region of Slavonia, which holds Geographic Protected Status. Our prosciutto legs are sea air-dried in the hills behind the beautiful Venetian city of Šibenik.

Don’t miss Paski Sir, the artisan sheep’s cheese from the sunny island of Pag. Made from an indigenous breed of sheep that graze on wild rosemary and other vegetation on the rocky, sea air-kissed slopes, this cheese is a three-star Great Taste winner and is featured in the latest Borough Market cookbook.
